Staff, students and parents alike are benefiting from the new Kitchen Garden at Glasshouse Country Christian College.
A year and a half into the project Jade King, a key founder of the project, talks about the impact of the garden on the school community....
What amazes me most... is that all of what we have done and all of what is offered to the students, has been achieved solely by volunteers and limited funds. Volunteers create the curriculum, teach the students, maintain and plan the garden, and rally together to keep it going on a daily basis. So ultimately, the Kitchen Garden at GCCC has strengthened our school community whilst providing invaluable healthy life skills to our children...
