Taking a few moments to pick fresh produce from your vegetable garden each day brings many benefits to your health. Plant vitality and nutrients are at their peak and the flavour and taste are often at their premium so you are more likely to keep coming back for more.

Eating plenty of vegetables and fruits each day has also been shown to reduce rates of certain cancers and to keep the immune system strong, essential for protection against the many flu’s and infectious conditions prevalent today.

Other benefits of tending to the needs of a vegetable garden are regular exercise and fresh air. Activities that are part of your daily or weekly routine mean less time needs to dedicated to ‘exercising’. Taking the scraps out to the worm farm, watering the garden in the evening, and mulching and pulling a few weeds all get you outside and moving.
